"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." -  Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

Hearing is the ability to perceive sound and it is essential to building your faith. When we hear a sound, it moves to our brain, our brain interprets it from our ears which then directs the body to take action. Sometimes the body does not act immediately but rather the sound may just shape our worldview or provide us information for us to act on later.

Our actions are influenced by what we hear. What are you listening to? What are you hearing?  

If you are not satisfied with the current state of your business or your life, re-evaluate what and who you have been listening to. Your current state is the sum-total of what you have been listening to. Words have power. God created the earth through words, He organized it through words, Jesus healed the sick through words, and most of His miracles were manifested through words. Words have the power to create, heal, and build up our faith. How is your faith?  

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) It is a conviction in things you have not yet seen or experienced because of your firm belief in the promises of God. Your faith is essential to your success as a Biblical Entrepreneur, for without faith, you can not please God. Though faith-building requires action, it begins with the words you expose yourself to.  

7 keys to building our faith through what you hear:

1. Listen to the Word of God

2. Listen to words of encouragement

3. Listen to that which is consistent with God’s promises for your life

4. Avoid gossip

5. Avoid criticism

6. Listen to words of correction

7. Listen to sounds of worship

Are you satisfied with where you are in life? Are you satisfied with where your business is?  What have you been listening to? What are you telling yourself?

Remember, the state of our lives and our business is the sum total of the words we have exposed ourselves to and the words we told ourselves.

My prayer for you today is that God will give you the discipline to block words of unbelief and death from your life and embrace words of faith and life so that you may realize His purpose and plan in the marketplace.
